I love to make props, puppets, sets and costumes!
My first ever backpack puppet, created for public performances throughout New York City.
I’ve been the lead visual designer and a core member of Agile Rascal since 2019, an innovative theater company that intersects biking, theater and environmental justice.
“Big Green Theater is an eco-playwriting program for public school students that uplifts the imaginations of young people most impacted by our new climate reality and brings their ideas to life on stage.” I have been a teaching artist and visual designer for BGT for several years; it’s one of my favourite theater projects!
I was a behind-the-scenes theater kid in high school, and that interest has followed me into my creative practice. I love using my visual storytelling skills to help projects come to life. I have a penchant for working with limited resources + upcycled materials, and I love challenging myself to learn new skills (like backpack puppets or over-sized crankies!). I am a core member of eco-theater groups Superhero Clubhouse and Agile Rascal Bike Theater, and I care deeply about using art to spark awareness about pertinent social and environmental issues. Collaborating with other artists across multiple disciplines to create projects larger than our individual selves is one of my greatest joys. Aka, I love to make art with people!
