UPCYCLED INSTALLATIONS

These site-specific, colourful, collaborative installations were created in collaboration with hundreds of students, primarily made from found and recycled materials. Each student created a small, dynamic sculpture, which I assembled into a final installation during week-long school visits. The artists were encouraged to explore, transform and reimagine waste materials into dynamic sculptures. Their processes emphasized play, intuition and curiosity around materials, reflecting my own creative practice. I assembled their pieces together. Each installation was a collective effort, composed of individual sculptures created by over 200 students. I love imagining students engaging with the final installations in their schools, searching for their contributions and seeing their pieces as part of a much larger whole. These projects took place in 2018-2019.
